“Lo-fi Psychosurf band from Deep Russian Underground”!
That’s how these lads from Moscow, Russia are calling themselves
and they are just accurate! The Vivisectors play instrumental music
borrowing music elements from the Bomboras & The Phantom Surfers
and all the surf madness that conquered the US some years ago along
with the spaghetti western instromania ala Hank Ray, the 50s instro-motives
ala Charles Napiers and the sci-fi instro alien invasion of bands
like Man Or Astroman?. This CD includes 27 instro tunes with titles
like ‘Go-Go’, ‘El Zorro Theme’, ‘Transylvanian
Train’, ‘Alien In A Government’, ‘Russki
Psycho’. The Vivisectors also perform an instrumental version
of ‘The Animals’ ‘House Of The Rising Son’!
These Russians have another CD too titled ‘Case History Of
John Dee’ which includes 26 songs of the same style and instromania.
Some of these tunes are included in this CD that is being reviewed
here, which it seems to be a collection of the best \Vivisectors
tracks. I bet every Russian Astronaut carries a Vivisectors CD in
his spaceship, so why not you here in earth?
